Simone Biles

Simone Biles (born March 14 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.) American gymnast who was considered one of the sport's greatest athletes. Biles was the first female gymnast from America ever to win four gold medals at one Games. in Rio de Janeiro, she also became the first woman to have won successive World All-Around championships. Biles is a native of Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) took them in as adoptees. The Biles family grew up in Houston's metropolitan area. Simone was first introduced to the sport by her daycare instructor Aimee Borman when she was 6 years old. She was a student at Bannon's Gymnastix for 11 years. Biles received a silver medal for vault as well as a gold medal on the floor gymnastics at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. The year 2011 saw her begin participating in the elite level of the sport. Biles was a dominant athlete just two years later. Her consistency, her vivacious character and her high level of challenge during her four eventsvault uneven bars, balance beam floor exercise and floor exercise -- set her apart.
