Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
The initial inspiration came from shadows cast on grass. After a few weeks, she developed a method that did not create the object she chose onto canvas in a flat image. Rather the subject is transformed into a re-creation of itself in which the painting transforms into the medium for it's own painterly interpretation, especially when the subject is alive or perishable, such as people or fruits. Alexa Meade's works are fleeting and the image is what remains. Because the photography and painting methods are closely coordinated and result in the trompe-l'oeil effect that creates it appears as if three dimensions is only visible at certain locations, like the region around the eyes or the hair. Meade occasionally integrates painted models in the space surrounding them. They are able to be part of the world she has created. This is a way of breaking down the barriers between photography, painting performances and installations.
