Niykee is a song-writer and songwriter who, even with her recent hectic career, has kept her routine. Personal highlights included being chosen by Snoop dogg as his sidekick at the YouTube Brandcast event in May 2013. Being a magnet for producers, Niykee constantly sifts through the many beats that are delivered to her. She has found that the majority beats spark fresh songs. She says that she can tell if the beat is great in only 5 seconds. After that, a fresh track will come into her brain. If I am sitting at my front porch, playing guitar, lyrics will flow and are usually completed in less than thirty minutes. While she develops as a musician, Niykee says that the hurt of her history is an unending source of inspiration. Even when she is not writing about the things which were actually taking place the pain from childhood and grief over the loss of her daughter makes it's way into her music. The memories influence my songs and helps to create this greater meaning under everything which is one the most important things for me.
