Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding (born Elena Jane Goulding born on December 30, 1986 in Hereford, England) is a English singer-songwriter. Ellie Goulding rose quickly to the top with her electronic pop sound after capturing the attention of people with "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses" in 2010. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Her unique soprano sibilance and knack of writing captivating, yet emotional songs, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap has a place at the cutting edge of contemporary mainstream music and arty, independent-minded pop.Goulding quickly moved from blogging to printed media, receiving the attention of mainstream magazines like The Guardian and fielding offers from record companies. Polydor Records, a major music label, signed the singer and began making plans to release her debut album.
