Alicia Silverstone, born October 4, 1976 to Monty Silverstone & Deidre Radiford in Hillsborough California. There are half-siblings in the previous marriage of her father. She was raised in San Francisco, a city of upper middle class. She began modeling at the age of six after which she starred in her first television commercial to promote Domino's Pizza. Silverstone studied at Crocker Middle, and San Mateo High Schools. Silverstone starred in her first credited performance in The Wonder Years in 1992. Critics and the audience praised her performance and she received an award. The that same year, she appeared on the Aerosmith video music clips Cryin" and Amazing. She also made an appearance in TV movies such as Torch Song and Scattered Dreams. In 1994, she was as the main character in the TV film Cool and the Crazy, which was released in 1994.
